The 2025 field conference will be held in Assateague, Virginia, and surrounding areas, The meeting will be held November 7 and 8 at the Chincoteague Bay Field Station. The all-day field trip is on Saturday the 8th, and the business meeting and social will be the preceding evening, Friday Nov. 7. There will also be an optional half-day excursion on the morning of Sunday November 9.
The Saturday trip will feature a visit to NASA’s Wallops Island facility, and each participant needs a valid “Real ID” driver’s license or a valid passport. If you don’t yet have a Real ID, here are instructions for getting one via the Virginia DMV: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/licenses-ids/real-id . Foreign nationals need additional time for approval, up to 90 days in advance of the visit. We are currently 106 days away, so time is of the essence if you are not a U.S. citizen.
